Yesterday, as my sister and I were returning home on the bus, an accident nearly took place at Jalan Greja. As the bus was going past a small lane, a female driver in a BMW 5 Series cut into our path. The bus captain immediately slammed onto the brakes and was forced to swerve onto the other side of the road to avoid a collision. However, an approaching car nearly rammed into us, but missed by a hair's breadth. The bus captain then got off and inspected the bus for any signs of damage. While he did that, all of us(the passengers) glared at the fast-disappearing car that caused all this trouble and began talking about the incident. I could clearly hear some bad language being used on the woman. The ride was delayed for a further ten minutes because of her. When we reached home, we recounted the incident to our family and agreed that at the very least, the rash driver should be fined. I hope that the authorities take the necessary actions and that this will deter other drivers from being rash while driving as many precious lives can be lost in needless accidents.

Greetings bloggers. As most of my fellow classmates may already know, my CCA(co-curricular activity) is cricket. Recently, some new Secondary One have joined the C division team. However, they were nothing like what we thought they would be! They were irritating(so were we!!), obnoxious and always getting into fights with one another(of course, Harsh and Ali were not like that). After a few trainings, we(Anurag, Nachiket, Nirmolak and me) could not stand it any longer. So, we decided to talk to them and find out what the problem was. After all that, we found out that these guys called Paras and Yash hated each other. They would always talk about what the other person did in Hindi class. Today, Nachiket spoke to each of them personally and told to be serious and to stay focused during cricket trainings. I hope that this situation will be resolved quickly so that our team can gel together and improve in their game.

Hi victorians(and others)!Today, I got up when my alarm rang at five-thirty AM, but as I was too tired, I decided to lie down for five more minutes. However, I only got up at six AM!! I immediately jumped up and had to rush to complete my ablutions. My father then dropped me to school at seven-fifteen in the morning. After the flag-raising ceremony, I went down to the library for two periods(one period is thirty-five minutes long)as the lesson was Mother Tongue and I take this lesson outside school. For the duration of that lesson, I read my book(it is called Shadowmancer)and scolded Shabab for putting my things back into my bag when I had left them on the table. After that, it was straight to the IT lab for Geography, where we learnt about the population growth in developed countries. That was followed by recess, where I nearly scored a goal in soccer, and Maths, where our teacher had a meeting to go for and I helped with the class Chinese New Year decorations, which are getting along nicely. After that, we went to the auditorium for a briefing on our Online Project Work and how to use the system.Well that's all for now, see you again tomorrow!

Today I only had to be in school by 9.30AM as the O-level results for the class of 2008 were quite good.Along with that, we have a full day off on the 28th of January. That means we have four days of Chinese New Year holidays instead of three!Doesn't Victoria School rock?I hope that next year, more people will apply for my school and increase our popularity!

Over the year-end holidays, I went to Langkawi with my family and relatives from India. It was one of my most interesting and memorable holidays ever!We first drove down to a town called Kuala Kedah. We then parked our cars and went to the ferry terminal. We had to run for the ferry as it was scheduled to leave at 1.30 PM and it was already 1.28 PM! It then took us a further two hours before we reached the island of Langkawi. As we approached the jetty, I noticed a huge reddish-brown eagle poised in flight. I later found out that the island derived its name from it as 'Lang' means eagle and 'Kawi' means reddish-brown in Malay. For the duration of our stay, we lodged in The Bayview Hotel, the tallest hotel in Langkawi. The next day, we went to the Seven Wells Waterfall. It name was derived from the 'seven wells' of water at the top of the waterfall. I would definitely recommend it to tourists as the water was very cold and refreshing when I jumped in! After that we to the Morac International Karting Circuit where I raced against my uncle and aunt. As this was my first time in a go-kart, I can say that I did quite well considering that my uncle had 11 years of driving experience under his belt. I won with a time of 1 minute 59 seconds.Unfortunately, we had to leave the next day as my relatives were leaving for India in two days. My trip to Langkawi was Fantastic and I certainly hope that I can enjoy myself there again.

During recess today my classmate sprayed foam from the fire extinguisher at the back of the class.A few people noticed this and reported it to our form teacher. After questioning him about why he committed this act of vandalism(he didn't reply),our teacher left it to the class to decide what should be done about the fire extinguisher(which could not be used anymore) and the offender. After ten minutes of discussion, we concluded that he would pay for a replacement and would also go to the general office and report the incident the next week. This delay was necessary as my school is currently undergoing an external validation by officials and we did not want to disgrace our school in front of them.I hope that he follows this and thus mend his error-prone ways.
